Today.....now!!!

Everyday theres a new sunrise,
And we wake up to a bright sunshine.
We rise with a lot of expectations in life
And set our schedules to meet them.
Somewhere on the way we get distracted,
And are detracted from our paths.
We lose direction, and try to find ourselves,
But then we try to hold onto something to get us back.
and misplace our thoughts, our selves.
We are told never hold on to our past,
but the past never leaves us, rather, keeps pulling us back.
We attempt to move on... but move on in little baby steps.
Moving in leaps and bounds just don't happen.

We look forward to a better life,
And attain materialistic pleasures,
And claim we are happy and gay.
But deep inside that happiness,
Lies layers of sadness, which gets unearthed as life carries on.
Its another sunrise and the sun shines to a new day.
We carry on with our burdens and make our journey even more saddening.
We want to forget but are unable to fore go our thoughts.
We try to live another day, and something bout tomorrow....
Makes us live today.....now!!!
